Independent Bodies of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia

 

 

- Agency of Youth and Sports -

The Agency of Youth and Sports performs the activities referring to the care for psycho-physical upbringing of youth and their protection from addictions, prostitution, crime and other socio-pathological occurrences; taking care of the status of youth; encourages and helping different types of organization of youth; undertaking activities for creating conditions for keeping skilled and talented young people in the Republic of Macedonia, as well as creating conditions for stimulating their return to the Republic of Macedonia; covering the sports and sporting-recreational activities in the sphere of sports; following the development of professional sport and it performs other activities stipulated by the Law. The Agency of Youth and Sports has a feature of a legal entity.

- Agency of Emigration -

The Agency of Emigration performs the activities related to the situation and rights of emigrants from Macedonia; supporting their cultural development and promotion of relations with them and their organizations; informing the emigrants from Macedonia about the situation in the Republic of Macedonia; creating conditions for return of emigrants to the Republic of Macedonia; creating conditions for inclusion of emigrants in the public and economic life of the Republic of Macedonia and it performs other activities stipulated by the Law. The Agency of Emigration has a feature of a legal entity.

- Commission for Religious Affairs -

The Commission for Religious Affairs carries out the activities related to the legal position of religious communities and groups, as well as the activities referring to the relations between the state and the religious communities and groups.

- Agency of Information -

The Agency of Information performs the activities referring to the press, radio and television and other means of public information; information of the domestic and foreign public about the country's life and development; activities of foreign information institutions and foreign journalists in the country; accreditation of journalists for covering the work of the Government and other state organs; it performs a publishing activity of special importance for affirmation of the Republic of Macedonia and performs other activities stipulated by the Law. The Agency of Information is a legal entity.

- Agency for Development and Investments - 

The Agency for Development and Investments carries out the activities referring to realization of: the development and investments program, defined favorable terms for private investments of domestic and foreign entities, agreements on transfer of capital; implementation of measures of the investment policy and foreign investments, realization of investment activities performed by foreign persons in the Republic of Macedonia and investment activities performed by domestic legal entities abroad; exchange of information about investment possibilities; promotion and execution of the provided investments both in the Republic of Macedonia and abroad and it performs other activities stipulated by the Law. The Agency for Development and Investments is a legal entity.
